Dear Dave, Sweet were an extremely brilliant live band and I was lucky enough to see them at their best around 1980/81. Back in 1972-6 I had the brian connoly hair and was totally into glam with my then one and only band Bearded Lady and if you love that era and period you should check out The Rise and Fall Bearded Lady on Angel Air records and it has all my earliest songs and brilliant live material from The Marquee. Perhaps we should try and find one of their more obscure tracks? but definately no chickory tip !!! Really glad that you enjoyed yourself Dave and please spread the word about us as there is no better recommendation !!! keep on rocking !!

Another great performance at the Boom Boom last week, only disappointment was Jonny offering some Chickery Tip and then not delivering the goods !! nearly had me chanting " we want sweet we want sweet " those were the days ! anyway the new songs you did introduce were brilliant. No mention of the DVD though ??

Great first nighter at Joes'Garage for the guys Saturday last.A large venue but a very enthusastic crowd who, danced and sang to all the brilliant songs.Fantastic performances fron the guys ,Mickeys keyboard were really smokin' "Light my Fire and Hush were mind blowing. Johnnys voice was in full throttle and the guys thundered through all the favourites much to the crowds delight.A very groovy vicar announced that the Who had played on that very stage, and it ended with a roaring Who medley building up to the climatic "Wont get fooled again" which bought the place down.Wonderful night guys and well worth the long journey from Sutton for us,See you guys soon, and hope Andover goes well.Love Lynne,xx

Hi lads thanks for another great night as usual at the Boom Boom. Hope the DVD turns out ok. Its a shame that some people go to watch you then spend their time trying to chat to each other instead of listening to your great music. They have to talk very loud to hear each other above the music which can be distracting at times. Maybe when the DVD comes out they can buy a copy then sit at home and chat away to their hearts content :-) . Anyway looking forward to the next one in June. Would love to venture out to the Herne Hill one but can't make it.

Dear Julie, We too had a blast and we are sooooooo glad that you all enjoyed yourselves. Early indications are that most of the filming and recording went well and we will just have to wait patiently while the laborious editing phases are gone through but thank you for your kind words about the band and especially my shoes, and we look forward to seeing you at a gig in the near future. Kindest Regards Johnny Warman and The Mods
