Harley Davidson Rally Print E-mail
Tuesday, 07 August 2007
We have really tried to play for the Harley Davidson Fraternity for some time and like the proverbial bus ...two come along at once...... Earlier in the year we played at Warmwell for Harley Davidson and prior to that we played at Minehead for their 100 year anniversary. We love these sort of events where there are guaranteed audiences and all intent on meeting their friends and acquaintances from other chapters and having a social drink and enjoying live music and in great surroundings. I have already written about Warmwell where we were the first band on and really tore the place up after a very cool beginning but they really warmed to us and with Dave Bucket Coldwell from Bad Company it was quite a special night.
Now we were doing 4Bills and a Ben for the guys at Bisley Pavillion which holds over a thousand people comfortably and when we went on the place was crammed. Now when I walked on stage I had a feeling as soon as I saw the faces and smiles that it would be very special and boy....I was not wrong. From the very first number to the last we rang them out we listened to them sing...which they did wonderfully and wound them up playfully and how they responded!!!  They were a brilliant audience who would and indeed tried to keep us on beyond the 2 hours that we played. Our respect to Andy England and all the people who attended the gig and danced and sung with us. I guess the funniest thing that occured whilst we had just left the stage to thunderous applause and while we were cooling down was when I heard Jeff Rich and the other guys calling me to come and look at the stage. There were 4 girls onstage who had somehow climbed up and to the delight of the cheering crowd....removed their tops and revealing some ample bosums of which 2 had pierced nipples. The funniest part was when Bevo directed them from the stage into and through our dressing room where the girls expressed how wonderful the music had been as they were quickly ushered out into the arms of their loved ones, I must say it would have made a very interesting photo opportunity. Just have to say how brilliantly the guys played and it was one of the best 4Bills performances for sometime as well as a few Mod Favourites thrown in. Really great great night and I hope we do it for many more Chapters and for even bigger crowds.
Some new venues coming up Talking Heads in Southampton and another 4Bills gig 31st August at the Boom Boom Club which will be our Soul Summer Ball !!! Please come and see us for a soul and fun filled night with a great crowd and an incredible atmosphere. PLease tell others about these gigs and join the growing 4Bills and Mods Army . Love Johnny x x x
